Bahrain Surf Park – Club Hawaii Experience has awarded a significant construction contract to Poullaides Construction Company (PCC), marking a key step toward the region’s most anticipated leisure destination. The park, situated on the southwest coast of Bahrain at Bilaj Al Jazayer, is set to open in 2026 and is poised to become a major attraction for tourism and adventure enthusiasts.

The Bahrain Surf Park project is a joint development between Edamah (Bahrain Real Estate Investment) and GFH Financial Group (GFH). Spanning 1.3 million square meters, the park is expected to create numerous local job opportunities and significantly boost Bahrain’s economy by positioning the Kingdom as a premier hub for leisure, recreation, and tourism.

Khaled Abdulrahman Al Majed, CEO of Edamah, expressed his enthusiasm for the project: “We are proud to support Bahrain Surf Park – Club Hawaii Experience, which aligns with Bahrain’s ongoing commitment to innovation and growth. This project will enhance the Kingdom’s standing as a top-tier destination for entertainment and leisure, fostering job creation and supporting Bahrain’s broader economic development.”

Chetan Dongra, Managing Director of Proprietary Investments at GFH Financial Group, emphasized the project’s potential: “Bahrain Surf Park – Club Hawaii Experience represents a unique investment opportunity that will elevate the Kingdom’s tourism and entertainment sectors. By introducing a world-class attraction, we are enhancing the leisure landscape and creating lasting value for investors and the broader economy. This project embodies our vision for future development and strategic growth, driven by collaboration between the public and private sectors.”

Christos A. Poullaides, Founder and Managing Director of Poullaides Construction Company, spoke to the significance of the project: “We are honored to be selected for this monumental development. Our team is committed to delivering a state-of-the-art facility that will set a new benchmark for leisure and tourism in the region.”

Victoria Williams, General Manager of Bahrain Surf Park – Club Hawaii Experience, also shared her excitement: “This is a momentous milestone for our project. We are thrilled to bring a world-class surfing destination to Bahrain, contributing to the Kingdom’s growing leisure landscape while fostering new opportunities for tourism, recreation, and economic expansion.”

The park will feature an array of amenities, including food and beverage outlets, retail spaces, event venues, private cabanas, and a dedicated venue for corporate and group bookings. Additionally, a major international surfing competition is already scheduled for 2026, further establishing the park as a global destination for surfing events.

At the heart of the project is the introduction of Wavegarden Cove technology, a groundbreaking wave-generation system that can produce up to 1,000 waves per hour. This innovation will cater to surfers of all skill levels, ensuring an unparalleled experience at Bahrain Surf Park. The park will also house the Club Hawaii Surf Academy, which will offer comprehensive training programs designed to cultivate talent at every level.

Bahrain Surf Park – Club Hawaii Experience is slated to open in 2026, bringing a new dimension to Bahrain’s tourism and leisure offerings, while cementing the Kingdom’s position on the global adventure tourism map.
