The Victorian Longboard Titles presented by Kieser Australia will come to a dramatic conclusion this weekend, as the final round of the prestigious series takes place at Point Impossible, one of Victoria’s premier longboarding breaks.
The final showdown on the Surf Coast will determine not only the state champions but also the recipients of wildcard entries into the 2025 Bells Beach Longboard Classic—one of the most iconic events in the sport. In addition, results from the series will be used to select the Victorian State Team for the upcoming Australian Longboard Titles, set for July on New South Wales’ Tweed Coast.
Surfing Victoria CEO Adam Robertson expressed his enthusiasm ahead of the weekend.
“It’s exciting to have the final event of the Victorian Longboard Titles presented by Kieser Australia at Point Impossible, one of the best longboard waves on the coast,” said Robertson. “The series so far has been super exciting, and we’ve seen some great surfing across all divisions. Good luck to all competitors as they head into the final event.”
All eyes will be on Barwon Heads surfer Ben Considine, who is chasing his third Open Longboard Title. Considine enters the final round with strong momentum, having secured a victory earlier this season at Phillip Island. He also has a proven track record at Point Impossible, making him a serious contender for the overall title and a spot at Bells Beach.
The top-ranked male and female surfers in the Open divisions will earn wildcard entries into the Bells Beach Longboard Classic in September, reinforcing the pathway from local Boardriders Clubs to the global stage of the World Tour.
Weekend surf conditions, however, are expected to challenge the field. Forecasts predict onshore winds and a solid swell impacting the coast, setting the stage for a true test of skill and strategy.
The first call for competition will be made at Point Impossible on Saturday at 7:15 a.m., with a scheduled start at 7:30 a.m. Competitors are encouraged to join the official WhatsApp group for updates and announcements.
