Aadya R.A. Singh, a student at Coorg Public School in Gonikoppa, Kodagu, is quickly emerging as a promising young talent in India’s growing surfing community.
Singh is currently training with the Surfing Swami Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting ocean-based sports across the country. Her training takes place at the Mantra Surf Club in Mangaluru—India’s first surf club and a well-known center for nurturing young surfers.
In 2024, Singh competed in the Indian Open Surfing held in Mangaluru, reaching the semifinals in the Under-16 Girls category. Her dedication to the sport continued through the summer of 2025, when she participated in the International Surfing Festival in Varkala, Kerala. There, she competed in the Open Women’s Division, further expanding her experience on the national stage.
In May 2025, Singh took part in Tipi Jabrik’s Grom Patrol India event in Mangaluru, securing second place in both the Under-16 and Under-18 Girls categories. Most recently, she advanced to the semifinals of the Open Women’s Division after clinching second place in the Under-16 category at the Indian Open Surfing – Mangaluru Region.
Recognizing her achievements, Coorg Public School Principal Dr. M. Ramachandran presented Aadya with a memento to honor her growing list of accolades in the sport.
With her continued dedication and competitive success, Aadya Singh is poised to become a leading figure in the future of Indian surfing.
